KATHMANDU, Oct 23: In a move to ensure that the electromagnetic radiation (EMR) generated by the radio frequencies of mobile towers remains within established standards and does not pose health risks to citizens, the Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) is set to conduct EMR measurements.
The Supreme Court has held that a State Government has the competence to impose permit fee on the erection of mobile towers. The Court rejected the argument that State cannot realise permit fee on.
Bsnl: "The two companies have begun installing their mobile towers at 11 places already and extend the network to more places as the roads get cleared after monsoon," Pithoragarh District Magistrate Reena Joshi told PTI on Wednesday.
