Events: What the future of paratransit could look like

Paratransit has been a part of public transportation since the Americans with Disabilities Act became law in 1990. This service offers people with disabilities more mobility access. However, challenges like high per-trip costs, long wait times, and unreliable travel time have some agencies seeking other alternatives. The Eno Center for Transportation is hosting a paneled discussion about how on-demand transportation could transform paratransit and offer new mobility opportunities to people with disabilities. This free event is from 2 to 3 pm Wednesday. Click here to register. Wednesday, May 6 Celebrate Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in transportation: The Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) is hosting a paneled webinar to discuss AAPI contributions to transportation in the US. This free event is from 6 pm to 7 pm. For more information, click here.
