Paratransit has been a part of public transportation since the Americans with Disabilities Act became law in 1990. This service offers people with disabilities more mobility access. However, challenges like high per-trip costs, long wait times, and unreliable travel time have some agencies seeking other alternatives.
The Eno Center for Transportation is hosting a paneled discussion about how on-demand transportation could transform paratransit and offer new mobility opportunities to people with disabilities. This free event is from 2 to 3 pm Wednesday. Click here to register.
