VOV.VN - Hải quân Ấn Độ sẽ bắt đầu thử nghiệm trên biển tàu sân bay nội địa đầu tiên của nước này nhằm gia tăng khả năng đối phó với sự hiện diện ngày càng gia tăng của Trung Quốc ở Ấn Độ Dương.
Các cuộc thử nghiệm trên biển đối với tàu sân bay INS Vikrant dự kiến bắt đầu vào tháng 8/2021. Bộ trưởng Quốc phòng Ấn Độ Rajnath Singh tuần trước cho biết, tàu sân bay này sẽ được đưa vào hoạt động vào nửa đầu năm 2022. Các chuyên gia cho rằng, tàu sân bay mới sẽ giúp Ấn Độ thể hiện sức mạnh tại khu vực mà Trung Quốc ngày càng gia tăng ảnh hưởng.
