If you have an opportunity to save a life or prevent a serious injury by using a seat belt, or having that seat belt available to someone, i think thats a good reason to have it. Critics critics argue that seats belts may be ineffective or even hazardous on a school bus, and requiring students to wear them is tough to enforce. And they pose another challenge to districts facing tight budgets. It does cost an additional, on average, 15,000 per bus, and that is something this school the janesville residents we spoke with support the idea of seat belts on buses in spite of the cost.
