With the help of the naval cadet community, North Vancouver cadets are reviving the Ditty Bag tradition. Two officers travelled to Esquimalt in December to welcome back HMCS Winnipeg company.

Registered social worker specializing in sleep, Straight Up Health
Julia is a Registered Social Worker, a Certified Sleep Consultant and a Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) clinician at Straight Up Health. Prior to
establishing her sleep-based private practice, Julia worked on the management team of
two specialized adolescent crisis units at a mental health centre in Toronto. She is
passionate about working with families and individuals of all ages to improve the quality
of their sleep. In addition, she regularly works with health and wellness teams in major
corporations and organizations to provide employees with sleep-health workshops. She
At the beginning of the semester the new Military Student Center (MSC) opened the doors to its new location. It is now currently located right next door to Johnny’s Big Burger restaurant on College Street.
The new facility is reminiscent of a USO (United Services Organization) center at an airport or military base. It has that warm and welcoming feel to it that is familiar to veterans and current service members who are attending APSU.
Alex Arriaga is a senior majoring in Computer Science and a five year Army veteran. While utilizing the VA work study program he is part of the center that will be beneficial to so many veterans and students.
