Then fled to a nearby Shopping Center in a stolen vehicle. He crashed into a man in a pickup truck, assaulted that guy and then carjacked his vehicle. Officers responding to the child assault spotted the suspect and then he led police on a pursuit. He then crashed right here at this intersection. He crashed into a van that was transporting several people, and so the seven people obviously taken to a hospital. Were told one of them was flown with serious injuries and that person remains in the hospital. Were also told the suspect got out of the pickup truck after the crash, he ran on foot into the woods here and the police finally got him. He is in the hospital this morning with serious condition in serious condition facing multiple charges. Were also told in the misses mt of all of this that an officer was also injured but expected to be okay.
