Area School Systems are not taking any chances with the extreme and dangerous cold. Most are delayed or closed. Lets go over to big ones and well start in maryland where the latest delay is for Frederick County schools. They are delayed two hours now. Anne arrundel and Montgomery County schools are also on a twohour delay. Saint marys county schools are closed. Charles county schools closed. Prince georges county schools closed. Calvert county schools closed. Lets go to virginia. Arlington county schools twohour delay. Alexandria city and Falls Church City schools twohour delay. Fairfax county schools closed. Street to porter, that is where they are working on that water main break at this point. But a significant amount of water here on this major thorofare. Were a little concerned about what that might mean as more traffic starts to come across this area. We have seen the d. C. Water crews bringing a little bit of salt and gradient just around one lane of this area but i feel like it needs a little bit more coverage at this point. I dont know exactly when this water main break began. It seems like its so new they havent even posted it on twitter or their web site yet as far as emergency outages. D. C. Water is working on two other water main breaks this morning. One on girard street northeast and one on 34th street in southeast. So, definitely a looks like theyve gotten on top of this one. If you may recall last week we talked about sometimes they have to prioritize these and sometimes they need to just shut the water off and wait until they can get crews but were seeing some be like this
