(WIS) - High schoolers in Lexington School District One will be heading back to the classroom four days a week beginning on March 1st. The students will receive face-to-face instruction Monday through Thursday with Friday remaining an e-learning day. 9th through 12th graders have been in a hybrid model where students attend two days in person since the Fall.

(WIS) - Governor Henry McMaster and Superintendent Molly Spearman called for teachers to return to the classroom with or without the vaccine last week. (WIS) - A group of students from Lexington-Richland 5 high schools showed up with masks, and signs Monday evening, asking for district leaders to keep their safety in mind as they look at moving back to five day face-to-face learning. According to the district’s website, all students will be returning to face-to-face learning on February 1st. RELATED STORIES: “I never thought it’d be this big political issue, keeping people safe. Keeping people from getting sick, and it became one,” student Haley Dorsey said. Many students at the protest are asking that, at the very least, the district just keeps the four days in-person/one-day virtual schedule they’re currently using.
