Norfolk police say it happened at 8 30 this morning. Eyewitnesses tell us the child was crying when Emergency Responders arrived. They say this is a School Bus Stop and the child was with his brother. Witnesses described hearing screams. I heard the screaming and the yelling. The children and the parents that were out there waiting with their children. And obviously, i went out because i didnt know what happened. I didnt hear a crash or anything. Like. That i went out there. There w children waiting for the school bus and a lot of parents waiting with the kids. And this little boy was, you know, lying on the side of the road. Not really moving at the moment. A couple of minutes later, he did start to moan a little bit. Then he started to cry. Reporter and that child was medflighted to the hospital. According to police, three teenage boys say a man jumped out from behind a rock near the library, tried to grab one of them, and hit another one on the neck. Its pretty disturbing. So my son wanted to come with me when he went out of the house. I dont know just freaked out boys ran to Police Station which is just down the street. Officers searched the woods but could not find anyone matching the description. The boy said man is older with a long gray beard, and was wearing a red tshirt khaki shorts and a Boston Red Sox or possibly a Boston Bruins hat.
