Although its still days away, the latest update now puts us, new england, in the cone of uncertainty. Lets get over the meteorologist Chris Lambert. He has been tracking matthew storm. Chris we are in the cone on day five. That would be on sunday. Right now we have a long ways to go to get there, though. The storm right over haiti. It continues its journey off to north. You can see all the hurricane warnings that are in place across the bahamas, hurricane watch in place, across florida and you get closer to miami, there is a Tropical Storm watch in place. This is a system that will continue to head northnorthwest and maintain intensify. That is the concern especially for portions of florida. East coast of florida. This number 4 indicating major hurricane. The category 4. It only goes up to category 5 storm. This was a 5 late last week but it has essentially been maintaining its intensity of a 3 back to a 4 for the last this is the forecast track from the Hurricane Center. And were anticipating one, a new updated track probably around 5 00 pm. You notice the red line. It is east of florida. Even with that you can still have effects either side of the line. We have a cool front raising across the Northern Tier of the United States and behind that a large area of High Pressure. Some of the models are advertising be a eastward shift and even a southward shift. This is the american model, the yellow line indicating well out to that would be about it.
