Entitlements how is that sustainable . That is the work somebody mentioned over here, that is the Congressional Budget Office score. Once congress receives that score they will work through that to make certain it is in fact fiscally responsible. Imagine if you would, however a system where the incentives within the system are all to drive down cost, to provide greater choices and cometics for folks and respond to the specific needs of patients. In so doing, what you do is actually get a much more efficient system for the provision and delivery of health care. Its a system we dont have right now because the Previous Administration felt the federal government ought to do all of this. Weve seen what came about when the federal government does all of that. It is increasing premiums. Increasing deductibles, decreasi choices. You have a card that says you got insurance and wa in and cant afford what it is for the doctor trying to take care of you this is not a system working for folks in th
Guest that was created almost 20 years ago, it went along with the vchip that allows participants to block inappropriate content for their children. What we did, we looked to see the every cat i of the efficacy of the program itself, is it accurately warning parents about ageinappropriate material . Our findings were that its not. Is the systemically, we think, broken, in need of repair. We found there is a blurring between tv14 and tvpg. There is, actually, no show on broadcast television, no series on broadcast television today that is rated appropriate for anything older than children. Tv14 is the oldest rating. Even the most explicit content on prime time broadcast tv is rated as appropriate for children to watch. We learned that the tv networks themselves rate the shows, and weve learned that the tv advertisers who pay the bills for the networks rely on the ratings just like parents do. And so theres a conflict of interest in terms of rating content accurately. A lot of advertiser
In the green room, julius went up to Leland Melvin, Leland Melvin, originally played foot pal for the detroit lions. The guy is enormous. Julius is not a big guy. And he is there, talking to him and theyre talking about this and talking about florida and stuff. Julius says to him, he says, you know, and julius had told this story about first day of the job, no one would shake my hand, ku klux klan, all this, and he says to Leland Melvin, you astronauts, youre the bravest people i ever met. And Leland Melvin looks down at him, he says, no, sir. I heard your story out there. You are the bravest person i have ever met. Just, it was such a beautiful moment, just such a beautiful moment.
