Weve learned the patient held here in isolation at kaiser recently returned to the country from west africa. Health officials do not expect that patient to test positive for ebola, but theyre taking every precaution. This patient is a patient that traveled to one of the infected areas, and had some of the signs and symptoms compatible with ebola. Reporter state public Health Officials say the South Sacramento kaiser patient being tested for ebola returned to the u. S. From west africa about two weeks ago. They say the patient is considered low risk. But kaiser has isolated the person until test results come in. Just because of the potential for ebola, just being very, very cautious, blood was drawn from the patient and a specimen sent for confirmation and testing.
