Northwest Guilford won its eighth game of the 2021 season on Friday night by mercy ruling Ragsdale, 11-0, in just six innings. The Vikings compiled 15 hits during the ballgame and had seven runs in the top of the sixth frame alone.

Northwest Guilford walks off season opener in wild fashion against Grimsley Updated: 2021-04-29 00:01:53 Tags: By Jacob Hancock, HighSchoolOT Reporter It may have taken extra innings, but Northwest Guilford s baseball team won its season opener in style on Wednesday with a 2-1 walkoff win over Metro 4A Conferece foe Grimsley. Vikings sophomore Bristol Carter scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth on a wild pitch. Carter led off the inning with a double in the left-center gap and advanced to third on a fly ball to deep center by freshman Jackson Godfrey. Godfrey scored the first run for Northwest Guilford in the bottom of the first. After drawing a two-out walk, he stole second and then advanced twice on passed balls.
