Greensboro, N.C. Page boys basketball senior Jaden Ellis announced his college decision on Monday afternoon via Twitter.
Ellis, a six-foot guard, committed to Army West Point. He becomes the third Class of 2021 recruit from North Carolina to verbally pledge to the Black Knights AJ Allenpasch (Lake Norman Christian) and Blane St. Clair (Davidson Day School).
According to social media, Ellis had received two Division-I scholarship opportunities. North Carolina A&T State and Army were the only institutions vying for his services.

Oak Ridge, N.C. Providence outlasted Northwest Guilford in a thrilling five-set match on Saturday.
The Panthers advance to the 4A West final after beating Northwest Guilford in five sets 12-25, 25-11, 25-19, 20-25, and 15-9. Providence met the Vikings less than a month ago in non-conference action and won 3-1.
Northwest Guilford rolled through the first set inside Roger L. Nelson Gymnasium. With the score tied 4-all, the Vikings opened things up with junior Sofia Ortega-Utiaccho delivering serves. NWG found various ways to record eight-straight points to lead 12-4. Providence was presented a point to break that stretch as Ortega-Utiaccho hit a serve out of bounds Vikings up 12-5.

The Page Pirates left Chester L. Bradley Gymnasium in Greensboro on Monday with a one-point victory over rival Dudley, 50-49. Senior guard Jaden Ellis delivered 18 points for the visiting team, while the Panthers got a matching 18 points from their backcourt leader Ayden Gamble (senior). The two teams are set to face-off once again on Friday night at Page High School.
