Investigators probing the mephedrone also known as "Meow Meow" seizure worth over Rs 3,000 crore in the national capital and Pune on Thursday said two makeshift godowns in south Delhi, taken on a paltry rent of Rs 10,000 each.
In a massive operation spanning over two days, the police have unearthed a staggering 1,100 kilograms of the banned drug Mephedrone (MD) - street name 'Meow Meow' - with an estimated value exceeding Rs 2,500 crore in raids across Pune and New Delhi.
Pune police seized 1100 kg of synthetic mephedrone, also known as Meow Meow drug, during a raid in Delhi and Pune. The seized drugs is estimated to be worth more than Rs 2,000 crore in the illegal market. As per reports, the drug seizures are the largest ever in Maharashtra and one of the biggest in the country.
The Mumbai police, which seized mephedrone worth Rs 300 crore in a two month-long operation, has arrested two persons in connection with the case, an official said on Friday.
