Mumbai police seized more than 700 kilograms of mephedrone worth Rs 1,400 crore following a raid at a drug manufacturing unit and arrested five persons. The main accused in the case is a post-graduate in organic chemistry, who got the formula of producing mephedrone through experiments.
NCB arrests two drug peddlers with Mephedrone from South Mumbai

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officers have nabbed two drug peddlers on January 17 and seized 65 grams of Mephedrone from them.
As per reports,
NCB Mumbai in a press statement said, that the team received information pertaining to the illegal substance from Mumbai Zonal Unit. Based on the intelligence report, the NCB team conducted an operation near
South Mumbai’s
JJ Hospital. The officers arrested drug peddlers - Md Nazim Khan and Sandip Ganpat Chavan. The NCB in the press statement further stated that Chavan is a fire safety officer by profession.
