Thousands of Memphis, Light, Gas & Water (MLGW) customers were left without power after strong storms swept through the Mid-South early Monday morning.
Federal disaster assistance has been approved to assist in recovery efforts following storms that blew through the Mid-South in July, according to FEMA.
Thousands of Memphis Light, Gas and Water customers are without power Sunday morning from scattered thunderstorms through the night and the early morning.
Between 3,000 and 5,000 Memphis, Lights, Gas and Water (MLGW) customers lost power due to cars hitting poles in Wednesday s storms, the utility company said.
