Clemson Downs South Carolina In Top-Ranked Match, Bornkamp Nets Brace
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The No. 8/11 Clemson women’s soccer team picked up their 12th win of the season as they downed in-state rival No. 11/9 South Carolina 2-1 at Stone Stadium on Saturday night. It marks the second consecutive year that the Tigers have defeated the Gamecocks after taking the 2019 match by a 1-0 margin and just the third time in the all-time series they have gone consecutive years with wins over South Carolina. Clemson moves to 12-4-0 on the season as South Carolina falls to 10-4-0.
“It’s a great result for having two highly-ranked teams play each other,” said Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. “What a great response from our kids – they went out there and did it with an incredible second half. To come down here and beat them on their field to cap off an undefeated spring is special.”

COLUMBIA, S.C. - No. 11 South Carolina womenâs soccer (10-4-0, 6-2-0 SEC) dropped a tough match against No. 8 Clemson on a rainy Saturday night at Stone Stadium. The Tigers used two second-half goals to come from behind and defeat the Gamecocks.
Corinna Zullo scored the Gamecocksâ lone goal in the first half after a through ball from fellow freshman Catherine Barry. Of the 29 goals Carolina has scored this season, 15 have come from the freshman class. Zullo, who has scored four goals this season, scored the goal in the 28th minute.
Late Game Heroics Fuel Clemson Victory Over Auburn
Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson women’s soccer team (9-4-0) picked up its fifth home win of the season in 1-0 fashion over the visiting Auburn Tigers (5-5-3). It was the 10th all-time matchup between the two sides and the ninth victory for the Clemson squad against Auburn in the series.
“Auburn is always a competitive team so we knew we were going to be in for a dog fight,” said Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. “This was a gritty game, and we won the gritty game so this was a great win for our DNA as a team.”
Mt. Pleasant, S.C. - The Clemson women’s soccer team started the spring season with a dominant 4-1 win over College of Charleston (0-2-0, 0-0-0) to move their overall record to 7-4-0. The win marked the 100th victory at Clemson for the coaching staff of Eddie Radwanski, Jeff Robbins, and Siri Mullinix who have led the program for the last decade. “A lot of credit to the players and teams I have had the pleasure of coaching,” said Radwanski on the milestone. “A big thanks goes to Jeff and Siri for coming along for this journey. You’re not going to be successful without the right people, but really the teams are the ones that make these things happen.
