Copenhaver said Thomasâ background made for an ideal selection.
âTony has experience in different areas,â Copenhaver said Wednesday. âI got to know him well when he worked for Ed ⦠and then I also understand when I was in state government, the importance of CRDC and how he was working with grants. So the overall picture, he gets it, and very few people have that experience.â

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Even the rain couldnât stop a surprise parade held for retiring Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin.
On Wednesday afternoon, Mayor-elect Harold Copenhaver knocked on Perrinâs door, and then everyone was greeted by dozens of cars.
Drivers honked, waved, and even had signs for Mayor Perrin, all wishing him a great retirement.
None of this wouldâve been possible without the secretive work from Mayor Perrinâs family and the city employees.
