AZ Polymers will add the positions when it opens up at its new location, and plans to eventually increase that number to 25. Each of the new positions will pay between $15 and $28 an hour, and will range in responsibilities, including sales, shipping, mechanics, operations, materials and warehouse workers.

Despite the ongoing ban on indoor dining, four Gurnee-area restaurant owners intend to open their doors to customers starting today.
In a post shared to their respective social media accounts last week, the owners of Kaiser s Pizza and Pub, Timothy O Toole s Pub and Restaurant and Stevens of Gurnee and The Shanty of Wadsworth said they were united in their decision to open to indoor dining at 25% capacity.
We re all kind of at the point where either we close the doors permanently or give this a shot, said Ed Roman, owner of Kaiser s. Roman said on a good day his restaurant makes a third of the revenue it made before the pandemic.

Editor s note: Dawn Abernathy is running with a full slate composed of trustee candidates Willie Davismckennie, Ray Mullen and Angela Trillhaase, and clerk hopeful Heather Mullen-Gaschler. Mayoral candidates Robin Meier and Steve Lentz each are running solo. Also running independently are trustee candidates Sol Cabachuela, Edith Reese, Tim Wilson and Jenny Ross, as are clerk hopefuls Karen Walsh and Lisa Willems.
Four-way mayoral races have materialized up in both Mundelein and Antioch for the April 6, 2021, election.
Other contested mayoral races are in Gurnee and Lake Zurich.
The filing deadline for Lake County residents hoping to gain or retain elected municipal, school, park, library, township and fire district office passed at 5 p.m. Monday.
