AZ Polymers broke ground Friday on a new headquarters and manufacturing and distribution hub in Gurnee.
The company, which makes high-quality plastic sheeting for the automotive, motor sports and aerospace markets, acquired 4.8 acres at 5675 Center Point Court in the Tri-State Corporate Park. The project is expected to create 25 new jobs. The facility is scheduled to begin operations in early 2022.
AZ Polymers will add the positions when it opens up at its new location, and plans to eventually increase that number to 25. Each of the new positions will pay between $15 and $28 an hour, and will range in responsibilities, including sales, shipping, mechanics, operations, materials and warehouse workers.
