Berkeley building on channing way was clear friday after University Workers cleared the lawn of the tents, signs and barriers that had been erected by protesters earlier in the week. Overnight, uc berkeley police, along with officers from 20 different Law Enforcement agencies from foster city up to fairfield, were called in to remove the encampment. 12 protesters were arrested as police and riot gear erected barricades surrounding the protest site to keep other protesters from entering the area. Police officer who died in an on duty crash, a Funeral Service for officer jordan wingate is underway at Three Crosses church in castro valley. And today the department again and mourning over the loss of officer jordan wingate, who died nearly six years after he was involved in an on duty crash.
