The North Platte police are still looking for a woman who slipped away on Monday while they were looking for the man who had been with her.
It started at 7:07 a.m., when a 911 caller said a man dragged a woman by the arm into a car in the 2300 block of E. Philip and they drove off.
Police quickly found the vehicle and pulled it over, but the man and woman denied than an altercation took place.
Police spokesman Matt Elder said the man was wearing a stocking cap and face covering. He said he did not have any identification but gave them a name and date of birth. The woman also she did not have an ID with her, but provided a name.

Police reports: Meth, handgun, pursuits

A lab test that was positive for meth led to the arrest of a North Platte man over the weekend – one of several cases that involved felony charges.
Positive test
On Oct. 24, 2020, at 2:42 p.m., police were called to a disturbance in the 2900 block of W. 20th to check out a disturbance.
During the investigation, officers established probable cause to arrest San Suhr, 33. Suhr had left the scene before police arrived, but officers found his vehicle and pulled it over. Suhr was charged with third-degree domestic assault, police spokesman Matt Elder said.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners said Tuesday applications are open for Project RESET 2.0, an expansion of the county s emergency rental assistance program.
The program will provide $28.1 million in stimulus funds to landlords and utility providers to settle past-due bills.
The program will offer up to 15 months of total assistance.
Tenants and landlords interested in participating in this program can access the Project RESET 2.0 application portal and program resources at GCGA.us/RentalAssistance.
Police reports: Assault, threats, meth

North Platte police officers and sheriff’s deputies responded to two dangerous weapon reports in recent days.
The most recent case was reported at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday by a 911 caller. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to check out the reported assault at a home on U.S. Highway 30, just west of North Platte.
The caller said a man entered the home and started swinging a baseball bat around.
Deputies as well as police officers converged on the scene, where they found an assailant on top of another man, actively assaulting him, the sheriff’s office said.
