It took seven seasons, but Stevens High girls basketball coach Ivy Condon claimed a big one on Thursday. Freshman Kiley Bundy scored 13 points and hit three key free throws in the fourth quarter as Stevens edged Mascoma, 41-35, in an NHIAA Division III preliminary-round tournament win at Kehoe Gymnasium. That gave Condon, the Cardinals’ seventh-year coach, her first postseason victory. The foul-line effort proved essential for the Cards. The Royals (1-13) held Stevens without a fourth-quarter field goal, requiring a 7-for-13 effort at the charity stripe for Condon’s crew to secure victory.

They eventually took a 36-17 advantage at the break.  Ethan Lawyer added 11 points and Austin Gauld had six. Windsor (2-2) visits Mount Anthony on Tuesday night.  Hartford 77, Brattleboro 56 WHITE RIVER JUNCTION Danny Bushway had 22 points and Tarin Prior finished with 16 for the Hurricanes, who finished the night with seven 3-pointers.
