The airport, around 4 pm we got an update. There have been 298 flight delays and 129 cancellations period the reason for the mess stems from a painting project on the runway. It is also affecting two runways off and on here as the crews try to get the work done. This started saturday morning and will last for 20 days. Crews will lay down a new base later on the heavily used runway. We are hearing from people missing connections. Another traveler told me his plane was delayed for more than one hour on the tarmac period passengers were stuck on a warm plain.
