The fire expanded in size and intensity in a matter of hours. On highway 138 you can home after home burned to the ground. A life was lost here in south san jose this morning. I would like to tell through is uncommon but this year in the city significantly more have died in traffic fatalities than homicides. Each of the tragedies had a different story. So many, what ifs, the story of the crash is this, a woman riding her bicycle at 8 00 a. M. Was hit by a fullsized white pickup truck the she died at scene. A very quiet neighborhood. A walking pat is dedicated next to the street, and however, this was a bicyclist. The driver appeared to be heading to work and stayed at the scene and cooperated. Officers said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor. The son was facing driver at the time of the crash.
