Two water rescues were needed on Sunday, downed power lines from severe weather caused multiple fires, and multiple camper burglaries were reported in Detroit Lakes.
On Wednesday, April 6, an Audubon caller reported that their landlord was harassing their girlfriend; the landlord had allegedly been stopping by unannounced and entering the unit.
On Friday, March 25 at 12:48 a.m. near Highway 59 and County Road 26 in Callaway, an officer performed a PIT maneuver to stop a fleeing vehicle. Once the vehicle was stopped, a female exited the vehicle and told officers that she had been kidnapped. No injuries were reported and a 30-year-old Frazee man was arrested at the scene. The case remains under investigation.
On Friday, Feb. 25 a house fire was reported in Menahga. All occupants evacuated safely. The fire is believed to have started in the basement, and the residence is considered a "total loss."
