up. in the meantime he is meeting with republican leaders and addressing the upcoming budget debate and coming up with a solution on daca and infrastructure and the debt ceiling and children s health care. i stay very close to my former colleagues in congress that this white house is absolutely very engaged with him. people like mark shore are working 70 hours a week and behind the scenes to try to represent what s the good solution to all of these problems with the house and the senate? look at this. i mean i think most people are in agreement that there is tremendous theater here. the president himself said i will be so presidential, you will be sick of it. and the americans are not just at issue. the people want change. you have to wonder how complicated it is for those who are trying to show the united front and you saw the image at camp david.
now back to politics. congressional leaders from both sides of the aisle are reportedly set to meet with top white house officials wednesday on the agenda, spending an immigration reform. let s bring in kevin cirilli, chief washington correspondent for bloomberg tv and julia manchester, reporter for the hill. julia, what should we expect from this meeting? it s interesting. president trump will not be at the meeting, instead he ll be having general john kelly, his chief of staff, in his place, and we ll see mark shore and nick mulvaney sitting in, as well. it s going to be interesting because we ve seen democrats walk away from these meetings in the past and have claimed various concessions when the president was there. it will be interesting to see how these talks go with the people standing in his place. but i think we re going to see the white house try to really push the president s agenda, in that he wants to he has said
senators will be in the chamber when we come back in january with doug jones replacing luther strange. and that means essentially anything that is going to get done in the senate has to be done in a bipartisan way. and that includes infrastructure. we heard a little bit of that talk from the president s main man on capitol hill, mark shore, over the weekend. you ll see the president roll out the infrastructure plan in january and the president invited speaker ryan and mitch mcconnell to speak about what the parties are. i m not going to get in front of the president in january, chris, but i think there s a willingness on the plan to get to it. reporter: first, democrats have been very clear, they don t want a plan developed by the white house dropped into their laps and being told to support it and that it would be bipartisan. that is not going to work. democrats want to be part of the process of actually crafting
deeper sickness in our politics. mark, can the president get away with getting until december 12th without saying anything about this? he s betting on the thanksgiving holiday and no more accuser or what? i mean that s a lot of time. yes. he can get away with it. but the door was left open today, and april and the rest of the white house press corps can kick the door down on monday. when asked about why he has not sued the dozen plus women who have accused him of this, sarah huckabee sanders says i ve not spoken to him about it, i ll get back to you. guess what on monday let s get an answer back on that. right. he said he was going to sue them. she said i don t know why he hasn t. i ll have to ask him. said they were all liars and he was going to sue them and he doesn t. thank you all very much. the governor of alabama says she doesn t doubt the roy moore accusers. this is the crucial thing, she says she will vote for him anyway. she believes a woman who says she was 14 years o
