That breaking news tonight. A man has been shot and killed outside oaklands lake merritt bart station. And weve just learned bart police now have a suspect in custody. It was at the corner of 8th street and oak near the stations bus zone. The station was closed for about 40 minutes while police investigated the scene. But trains are moving now on schedule. Police say after searching the area and looking at Surveillance Video. They were able to identify and arrest a man in connection with that shooting. Officials say theres no indication the suspect or the victim was riding bart. We have a crew headed to the scene right now and we will have more on this story in a live report coming up tonight at about 5. 30. Thats where we find kron fours amanda hari with the very latest demand. police have been here on the scene for about 3 and a half hours. It looks like theyre starting to wrap up their investigation, but they are still here working near the bart station. So this part of the bart station here on oak street is closed off. You have to go around to the other entrance to go down into bart. But bart is operating year now.
