Okay, were making some progress here. Were going to see a very nice day. Our temperature trend today will be very much like yesterday. Were starting out cool and well see it going up into the mid70s by noon. It will feel very nice. Our high temperatures expect to reach into the mid80s today. Once again matching yesterdays temperatures. Even a slight cooldown for parts of the inland east bay. Were still hot further to the north with clear lake and ukiah in the upper 90s. Protection program was set to expire the senate votes to extend it. Today in the bays alex barr and what congress is going to do now. Reporter laura, this was a bit of a surprise that this extension was agreed to last night since theres not often a lot of bipartisan agreement in washington these days. This is one of these issues important enough. Lets be clear whats being extended is the deadline to apply. So now that deadline will be extended until august 8th. So that allows any Small Businesses with fewer than 500 employees that have not yet asked for this aid to jump in and request it. Whats kind of interesting is theres still 130 billion left in the pot to be distributed to Small Businesses. Thats a little surprising because early on this money was just flying out of the coffers and congress had to pass another installment to reinstate the money there.
