Parbhani, Dec 22 (PTI) Asserting that 80 per cent of the battle for Maratha reservation had been won and the fight was in its final stages, quota activist Manoj Jarange on Friday said the Maharashtra government has just two days left to fulfil the demand.
Haribhau Rathod, a former MP and founder of the Banjara Kranti Dal, said Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange-Patil is an honest man fighting for his community.
As the general elections approach, the government is interacting more frequently with the RSS. This month, party president J P Nadda, Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh met the top five RSS functionaries, other than Mohan Bhagwat.
Following the Marathas call for reservation, the Jats are gearing up to launch a protest campaign to secure Other Backward Class (OBC) status at the national level, particularly in Haryana. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) faces a challenging scenario, given its ongoing predicament in Maharashtra over Maratha reservation. If the influential Jat community pursues their demand for inclusion in the central OBC list, the BJP may encounter difficulties in northern India in the run-up to the 2024 elections.
