Youth across the region suffering with their mental health will soon have more opportunities to receive help.
The Canadian Mental Health Association of Wood Buffalo is getting ‘substantial funding’ from the provincial government which will allow them to better connect youth and families to resources through their Youth Hub.
They didn’t specify how much money they’re receiving, however, up to $7.3 million is being allocated to hubs across Alberta.
“We are so excited to have the Government of Alberta’s commitment to increasing youth mental health services in our province and our community,” said Mara Hayward, Youth Hub Manager, Wood Buffalo Integrated Youth Network, Canadian Mental Health Association – Wood Buffalo.
