The mayor and his amazing staff have partnered with homeless connect to offer support services for homeless folks. This is everything from an eye exam to employment counciling and in some cases also housing assistance. And the reason why the Lgbt Community has been targeted for this Homeless Connect Program is the recent studies that we heard that show that as high as 29 percent of our Homeless Population are members of the Lgbtq Community which is a large community. So we want to make this announcement to let people know that they can go to access services, but also to support the hope office because they are looking for volunteers.
