Year. We just received an update from School Officials saying schools will be back open tomorrow. This comes after the complete closure of the Los Angeles Unified School district. The fbi says the threat turned out to be not credible. An email sent from germany to School Board Members threatened and attacked and poison gas. The threat involved schoolchildren. Because of that a decision was made early this morning to close all the schools. That does not mean it is conclusively one thing or another. Some have used words that are inappropriate like hoax or other things whether its criminal mischief or someone testing vulnerabilities, we do not know enough to say definitively. We do know it will be safe for children to return tomorrow. The Los Angeles Unified School district is the largest second largest in the country a similar threat was made to new York City Schools that officials there chose not to close any campuses. The threat and los angeles prompted police to set up security in San

My other item for introduction is a hearing request based on the budget Analyst Report of prosac, park recreation open space advisory committee, and the open space fund and the rec and Park Departments acquisition code. Over the past few years we have approved five acquisitions of private property for the from the open space fund, for the public uses. The most recent one was 24th street, noe valley, i approved that, i voted to approve that acquisition, but i also in the process noted that there are a lot of parts of San Francisco that are considered high needs areas that actually are in need of being able to find greater open space for recreation in the city. I want to make sure that as the city budget Analyst Report indicates there is a discrepancy between the actual Acquisition Policy and the rec and Park Department and wh
October 7th there is going to be a special lesbian gay bisexual transgender and questioning connect. It starts at 10 a. M. And goes until 3 p. M. At the Lgbt Community center on market street. The mayor and his amazing staff have partnered with homeless connect to offer support services for homeless folks. This is everything from an eye exam to employment counciling and in some cases also housing assistance. And the reason why the Lgbt Community has been targeted for this Homeless Connect Program is the recent studies that we heard that show that as high as 29 percent of our Homeless Population are members of the Lgbtq Community which is a large community. So we want to make this announcement to let people know that they can go to access services, but also to support the hope office because they are looking for volunteers. People who can help concierge and also provide services. If you are interested in learning more about this event which again is on october 7, please do call our offi

Need, i made sure that matt set it up that there was going to be construction. I made sure that was in the minutes and the point is that we can use that pressure on munis to say where is the rest of it. I do want to compliment mta something that annette eluded to when the the massive reconstruction. The j line ended temporarily south of market street. In order to allow people to transfer to the underground to get downtown. They built a temporary wooden ramp at that stop one i saw that, i gathered support i said look, you have already found you have room in the street and youve got a temporary platform.
