The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested suspended Mumbai Police API Sachin Waze s aide and ex-CIU officer, Riyaz Qazi, in Mumbai on Sunday in connection with the Antilia bomb scare and Mansukh Hiren death case, NIA officials said.

A special National Investigation Court (NIA) in Mumbai extended NIA custody of suspended cop Sachin Waze till April 7 and directed the probing agency to provide all medical aid to the accused. Vaze is an accused in Mansukh Hiren death case.
Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, the NIA lawyer, said the agency had recovered incriminating evidence such as digital video recording (DVR) of CCTV footage and laptops and it needed to be examined.
The court has also asked the agency to submit a detailed report on Vaze s health with specifics of health condition and ailments on April 7, the last day of Vaze s custody granted by the court.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 15 (ANI): Mumbai Police Officer Sachin Waze, arrested in connection with the investigation into the recovery of explosives from a car parked near Mukesh Ambani s house in Mumbai, was suspended by an order of Additional Commissioner of Police (CP) Special Branch. Police officer Sachin Waze placed under suspension by an order of Addl CP Special Branch, said S Chaitanya, Mumbai Police PRO.
Sachin Waze, Assistant Police Inspector in the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU), who was transferred to the Citizen Facilitation Centre at Mumbai Police Headquarters after his name came up in Mansukh Hiren death case, has been sent to NIA custody till March 25, in connection with his alleged role and involvement in placing an explosives-laden vehicle near Mukesh Ambani s house in Mumbai on February 25.
