they obviously knew it was missing. so, for them not to come forward, it makes you wonder about the quality of the radar control and coverage in this area if you go up the coast a little bit further. you have burma, same questions could be raised there. and, you know, thailand is a constitutional monarchy. it s a great place to visit. i have been there. but it s not the most democratic and open country out there. well, i read that they said that they hadn t been asked for the radar yes, that s what they said. clearly they knew about the search. they knew about the missing plane. the entire world knows about it. and i think this just raises another question here. every time we get another piece of evidence in this search for a missing plane. another piece of information comes up and every piece of evidence seems more perplexing. imagine if people like
directions, moving to the west and then really the next thing next event on this time line is 6:30 a.m. that s when the plane was supposed to land. and what happened between that last transmission and that scheduled arrival time, there is still so much mystery, it s really opaque the facts that happened during that period. what happened at 8:11 a.m. which is more than an hour and a half after that plane is supposed to have been landing in beijing. there is a communication notice here that there is a ping. what kind of ping? from what? well, the way this works is the plane has a satellite communication system. that is always on. and even after a, the system that sends information about the engine and sends other flight details and would have had very specific details, even after it was shut off, there was a handshake that went on with the satellite communication system. just saying every hour i m still here. i m still here we still have those records. that s how we know and found
anybody expected in the beginning. no questions than answered. nobody has a definitive answer except that i believe that somebody was in that cockpit changing altitudes also plays into that equation. and i think we have got a really move with that knowledge that something happened here much deeper than we originally thought. it s hard to think that the plane went. frankly, i always go back to this is my reference point. i never dreamed in a million years that elizabeth smart would come home alive let me read you a tweet from steve. the flight deck door was secured and he committed suicide and took the rest with imhad. now, here is what i think is unusual about that, shawn, i actually don t think it was a suicide by the pilots or that they themselves were involved in it obviously i don t have any more information. seems to me that why would you bother to change the direction of the plane using the auto pilot if you are going to kill everybody or
situation. because the malaysian authorities are running this investigation, but typically, the nation where the crash happens is the one who leads the investigation. but we don t each have square one. we don t have a plane that s crashed. and we don t have a location. that s correct. it may have landed safely. that is still an option that s very much on the table. and the information i had today from a source close to the investigation is that there is no evidence that it crashed cath rain, as always, thank you. you are welcome. are are there new clues that malaysian airlines flight 370 landed safely. usually when it crashes it causes elts to transmit a signal to the satellite. this is different anen than the audio ping and the black box. flight 370 never sent that distress signal indicating that it crashed. so, did it really crash or could it have landed safely somewhere? joining us from florida 777 pilot hank wit more and here in d.c. former fbi agent and
thanks for joining us. thanks for having me. whatnot done. this means that someone didn t just grab ahold of the plane and manually move it in a different direction. whoever it was that put this information into the plane had to understood how to operate in a boeing cockpit. what happened was that basically someone went in and put new numbers in this plane and sent the plane in a different direction. we don t know when that happened it was the pilots or someone else that took control of it they knew what they were doing. what i thought was the significance of your reporting i thought was very informative to me is if the pilots or someone in the cockpit wanted to kill everybody, all you do is do a nose dive in the water it actually looks like they wanted to go some place, that there was a specific purpose. that sort of changes the dynamic in terms of helping the operation. if this wasn t a suicide mission why not put it in the ocean right off the bat? why would they move west
