Oxygen: Voice of MILO and cast of the Sci-Fi film on Netflix revealed
Fans are wondering who the voice of MILO is in the upcoming Sci-Fi film Oxygen. We look at the voice behind the machine and the remaining cast.
The film is scheduled to release on Netflix this month and is set to be in French language.
Oxygen was supposed to be produced by Anne Hathaway but she was later replaced. The film was produced and directed by Aleandre Aja.
Oxygen is an American-French produced film by companies, Gateway Films, Wild Bunch and Echo Lake Entertainment, with distribution by Netflix. Fans are wondering who the antagonistic voice of the film is after seeing the trailer.
Productions don’t get much leaner than
Oxygen, which is set in a single, coffin-sized location and has a cast list of three. Starring Mélanie Laurent as a woman who wakes up in a cryogenic pod with rapidly declining oxygen levels and absolutely no idea who or where she is, this Netflix thriller is so ruthlessly efficient that it’s no surprise to see Alexandre Aja’s name in the credits. Aja’s last film, 2019’s
, was set in a basement full of alligators. And while
Oxygen is literally too small to accommodate any bloodthirsty reptiles, Aja, working in French for the first time in nearly 20 years, keeps the jolts coming nonetheless. He even manages to pull off a jump scare within the film’s claustrophobic confines. How, we are not at liberty to say.

This excellent documentary on the complex leans towards the ambience of Blue Velvet: there’s a compelling soap opera bubbling under the sterile surface. In their quest to live comfortable, tyrannically upbeat lives, the inhabitants are barely living at all. Debut director Lance Oppenheim may be a twentysomething, but he still finds plenty of drama, nuance and humanity.
