COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the second time in as many games, Ohio State beats a Top 15 team as the Buckeyes took down No. 7 Maryland 88-86 on Monday night in Value City Arena.
The win improves the Buckeyes to 9-1 on the season and 5-1 in the Big Ten. This is the first time since late February in 2006 that Ohio State has won back-to-back games against Top 15 teams.
Monday was another great team effort. All nine Buckeyes that played scored at least two points and contributed in some way.
Sophomore Madison Greene led the team with a season-high tying 24 points to go along with a career-high seven assists and five steals. Fellow guard Jacy Sheldon added 21 points, marking her sixth 20-point game of the season.

WOOD RIVER Five Riverbend area deaths were among the 123 COVID-19 related deaths cited Friday by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
The deaths included a Macoupin County woman in her 90s and four Madison County women, three in their 80s and one in her 90s.
The IDPH also reported 6,642 new confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases on Friday for a total to date of 1,059,324 cases, including 18,049 deaths.
Late Thursday the Madison County Health Department reported three new COVID-19 related deaths one woman in her 80s and two women in their 90s to take the county’s virus death toll to 399.
