WOOD RIVER Two Madison County deaths were among the 126 COVID-19 related deaths reported Friday by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
The IDPH identified the deceased as a man in his 80s an a woman in her 90s.
The IDPH also reported 9,277 new confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases.
Late Thursday the Madison County Health Department reported one new COVID-19 related death, a man in his 60s, to bring the county’s virus death toll to 383. As of Thursday, the county had recorded 21,810 COVID-19 cases.

WOOD RIVER Ten Riverbend deaths were among the 139 COVID-19 related deaths reported Wednesday by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
The IDPH identified the eight Madison County deceased as a man in his 60s, a woman in her 70s, a man in his 70s, two women in their 80s, two men in their 80s and a man in his 90s. The IDPH also listed two Macoupin County, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 90s.
The IDPH also reported 7,569 new confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases.
