Are seeing out there this morning is fog. Its hazy. Visibility will be a problem. Look at the view of coit tower. Yet again that fog is lingering around the bay and its working its way all around. It was clear earlier and now you can see this glow coming out of the tower there with the fog that is hanging low. So low clouds are out there. Showers in the north bay. Patchy fog in the morning hours. Widespread rain by lunchtime today. Satelliteradar with cloud coverage. There is mist so you may see it on your windows this morning but the raindrops are not going to get here just yet places like san jose dropping down to a half mile. The airport most likely will be impact this morning by fog. And petaluma 1. 5mile visibility there. Same with napa and santa rosa. The east bay, south bay, everyone is going to get fog. Snowfall. So the Higher Elevations are getting and right now through most of the area its light drizzle. Berkeley, oakland, starting to see a little more rain. We got a bit of measurable precipitation over the past few hours. St. Helena, glen ellen, yountville, napa, also coated in this light amount of rain. But most of the rain is well to the north. Here is an interesting fact, 35 of the population is capable of donating blood but only 5 follow through. The flu season in the bay area started earlier than normal. Donations are down 13 since the begin of the year. If you are not feeling healthy, you are not a prime candidate to donate blood. Reporter caitlin arnet discovered there was a need for blood and platelet donors and made an appointment. I realize there was a need. It said it on the website. Reporter the American Red Cross is desperate for donations. Your help is needed to ensure patients continue to receive life saving treatments all winter long. Well have fog to deal with. Wet weather to deal with. In the Morning Hours the fog is the issue with some visibility down to a quarter mile or less from merced to bakersfield.
