The victim, 25-year-old Yajaira Lizette Monsivais, with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Monsivais was transported by EMS to University Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased. Lubbock Police Officers responded to a shots fired call shortly after 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25 in the 300 block of Avenue T. The initial investigation found Gabriel Lee Mendoza and his brother were involved in an argument over a stolen firearm.

Get our free mobile app The Lubbock Police Department is asking for the public s help in identifying the driver that s said to have dragged an officer with their motorcycle after a traffic stop. As previously reported, the suspect was located driving their vehicle in the 3000 block of Idalou Road without a license at around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, April 5th. It s since been confirmed that the suspect was driving a motorcycle. An officer initiated a traffic stop, and when the officer told the suspect to turn off his motorcycle, they didn t comply and attempted to flee the scene, according to police reports. The officer attempted to stop the suspect from fleeing and grabbed the motorcycle. The officer wasn t able to let go and was dragged around 100 feet before freeing himself.

(Source: Lubbock Police Department) By KCBD Staff | December 20, 2020 at 10:40 PM CST - Updated December 21 at 9:43 AM Provided by Lubbock Police Department (LUBBOCK, TX) – Lubbock Police Officers are seeking information related to an aggravated assault that occurred shortly before 9 a.m. July 19 at Family Dollar, located at 1905 34th St. The suspect and an additional individual arrived in a black, four-door vehicle and entered the business. The additional individual and a female employee had a disagreement and were yelling at each other. The suspect then began arguing with the employee as well. He left the store, but came back. The employee attempted to keep him from entering, but was unsuccessful.
