One person in custody after deadly north Lubbock shooting, police identify victim

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is investigating a murder that occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25 in the 300 block of Avenue T.
Lubbock Police Officers responded to a shots fired call and found the victim, 25-year-old Yajaira Lizette Monsivais, with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Monsivais was transported by EMS to University Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.
Gabriel Lee Mendoza was located at a house in the 200 block of Avenue U. (Source: KCBD NewsChannel 11)
