In the community are sharing of her legacy at city hall today, the bronze bust of the former mayor and late senator feinstein , adorned with flowers and a bouquet of white orchids, sat just outside the Mayors Office early this morning. Mayor london breed recalled the first female mayor of San Francisco as a mentor, a proud democratic leader. And like feinstein, was also propelled into the Mayors Office after tragedy. One of the first calls i got was from senator Dianne Feinstein. And we had a very long discussion about just just what she went through , how she made decisions, how difficult it was, and she provided that support and that mentorship to make sure that i was prepared to step up at a difficult time for our city.
