They say they are looking into the possibility that a vehicle that is not an Autonomous Car. First struck that woman in flat. The Autonomous Car belongs to cruise. We have more than 75,000 kaiser permanente. Workers set to go on strike tomorrow unless they can reach some sort of a deal today. The clock is ticking. Proffers amanda hari has the update. Both the union and kaisers say theyre making progress but they havent made a deal just yet. They say if the strike happens, it would be the Largest Health care strike in u. S. History. Thousands of kaiser permanente. Workers in multiple states could go on strike on wednesday. Union leaders say its because of what they say are unfair labor practices and unsafe Staffing Levels at hundreds of kaiser hospitals and facilities. We want to make sure that all of our patients that come in are getting quality care. And that is why we are. Im having a strike. Sonia alan smith has worked for kaiser for more than 15 years. Shes a frontline Healthcare Worker and is on the Service Employees International Union bargaining committee. She says the committee will stay at the bargaining table as long as kaiser executives are there. We just want kaiser executives to bargain in good faith. Union demands include raises protections against outsourcing in subcontractors as well as medical plans for retiring ease. A spokesperson for kaiser is urging workers to reject all calls for a strike because theyre making progress. But the union says theyve taken all the necessary steps and theyre ready to strike. We have given kaiser executives, a tenday notice. They have that apple time to make sure that the they have services in place to take take care of the critically kaiser says if the strike happens, there is enough staffing to keep hospitals and Emergency Departments open. But nonemergency and Elective Services may be rescheduled if a deal isnt reached, the strike will begin at 06 00am on wednesday. It would last for 3 days ending saturday morning. Deputies say it was a body of a man and a woman found in the riverbed near old canyon road at about 3 oclock or so in the afternoon. Neither of them have been identified yet back. So although it is going to be warmer than youve gotten used to lately, its by no means the peak of where were headed. It happened early yesterday morning at the business called happy, happy home daycare. This was on fleetwood drive. Police responded after a group of kids fell into the pool. 3 children were taken to the hospital for treatment and sadly, 2 of them died. Neighbors we spoke with say they couldnt believe when they heard the news. Fire engines come ambulances like, you know, like will happen. And then just more and more kept coming. And once i found out 3 kids were impacted at. As per protocol, the with the death of children. The san jose Police Departments homicide unit and the Santa Clara County District Attorneys Office are now taking lead in this investigation. Before race horses have died in the span of just 2 weeks out at golden gate fields. And that makes 12 course resources. Now that have died in that. Youre at that track this year alone. Well, 70s for the bayshore and 80s making a big return for most of our inland areas. Now tomorrow we are going to see the low 80s returning for San Francisco. Not anymore being a woman and threatened trucking and the Trucking Industry is not for the faint of heart as long as she could remember. Regina robinson wanted to be in the trucking business after ending a 20 plusyear counting kerr ear. She answered her true calling and began trucking in 2018. It wasnt an easy transition be in the minority ethnicity in a white male dominated you are going to have to try 2 with determination and grit. Regina has built a successful trucking business. And shes not the only female behind the wheel in 2018, only 7. 9 of truckers were women by 2022, that number skyrocke ed to almost 14 . Unlike other Industries Women are making as much as the men driving specifically the paint has been equal over time so that that is an area where men and women bring home at similar amounts of money. She earned her commercial drivers license just like the man did.
