The Supreme Court of India on a petition filed by a Muslim man has agreed to hear the matter of alleged “Love Jihad” on August 16. The Court has also sought the responses from NIA and Kerala government.

The woman had claimed that one of the suspects asked her to convert and marry him after stopping her at gunpoint on December 1.
She also alleged that the suspect s cousins threatened her to murder her family members.
Police, on examining the mobile surveillance report, found out that the youth and his cousins were not present in the village on December 1.
