voting. in your interaction with constituents, you get phone calls, e-mails, meet with them face-to-face, what are you hearing from them? i will tell you this. my concern, i do hear from constituents and they do talk about judge kavanaugh s judicial temperament. they believe that dr. ford was courageous to come forward, her testimony was powerful and believable. what they recognize is that we are talking about the nominee for the supreme court of the united states, a lifetime appointment and they want to make sure that that person is judged based upon whether that person will be an independent voice on the supreme court on behalf of their constitutional rights. i think the major concern i have heard is that they think that judge kavanaugh is very political and whether he would be an independent voice on the supreme court. on that, your fellow senator republican oren hatch has an

and i am using senator grassley s language explicitly and intentionally, to plow through, to be senator oren hatch who says, i have not met her, i have not talked to her, but i don t believe dr. ford. then to hear dr. ford actually share, this is so imprinted on my memory that it was these two men because not only the they do something so vial to me as a human on the planet, they actually laughed about it. it required women from outside of the process to exercise the democratic process and go to and i think senator flake was the right person, because as we saw in that hearing he was pained. he was truly pained. he was truly convicted, and you could see it on his face. you could hear it in his statement, and yet he did not quite feel able to stand up for a process that felt fair and just. it required these women to say
moment that we had just moments before with senator oren hatch who was coming out of a senate committee room. and of course he was peppered with questions about these new allegations and i think it s fair to say that tempers were flaring, he at one point said shut up to the press. a lot of back and forth, he said he s of course going to look into these new allegations but needs time to digest them. all these tense moments of course just underscoring how fast moving this story is, and much to the frustration of many senators, as well that they can t seem to digest every twist and turn to this story. but the headline being that chairman grassley says tomorrow will indeed goi on. let s assume for the sake of conversation at this moment that this story is moving, changing very quickly every day. but assume they try to go forward with this hearing tomorrow. if that s the case, dr. blasey ford comes in, gives her
