Authorities in sac county are searching for a man wanted for attmpted murder after striking a man with his car lukas the Sac County Sheriffs Office is looking for 36 year old Jeremy Allen Werneburg of ida grove. Authorities say he struck a glidden man with his car on sunday night in carnarvon. The victim in this case was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Werneburg is described as a white male 63 205 lbs. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of werneburg is asked to call 911 or the Sac County Sheriffs Office at 7126627127. The surrounding area, and sac county sheriff ken mcclure says its difficult to know just where he could be. Somebody knows where he is. Somebody is hiding him. We just hope that someone comes forward, said sac county sheriff ken mcclure. The owner of the carnarvon inn hopes they find him soon. Cindy lawler witnessed the incident. Lawler claims werneburg got out of his car, with a hammer in hand, and approached lawler, her granddaughter kaylee, a friend of kaylees, and kyle freese. Then, for some reason, werneburg got back into his car. I thought he was going to leave but he didnt. He backed up and then came full force at us. First he hit my truck, said cindy lawler, owner of carnarvon inn. Thats when, lawler says, werneburg backed up again and struck freese injuring his leg.
