Ruth and Foster Shrawder
Ruth Shrawder and her husband Foster have lived in the area since 2017, but the Pennsylvania transplants began to fall in love with the area even sooner.
Foster had family in the West Villas since the 1970s and loved to come to visit. So, he purchased a villa himself and eventually rented it out. The couple stayed in Green Valley often and lived here part-time.
clouds in the east shoreline, the north bay and especially the west side of the peninsula this morning. so temperatures begin in the 50s, thoal finish in the low 80s and we ll have the entire forecast a few minutes from now. first let s get the latest from ann. sheriff s deputies interrupted an armed robbery in progress in castro valley, shooting and killing a suspect. that happened at around 10:00 last night at boulevard burger restaurant on castro valley boulevard. someone alerted the deputies as they made a traffic stop nearby and when they got inside, they say a man pointed a gun at them. an employee lunged at that man and the gun went off. a deputy returned fire, killing that suspect. an early morning crash in oakland left a huge hole inside of a church. witnesses tell us an suv drove through love center ministries on 104th and international. they say the driver left the scene with the keys still inside that vehicle. no one was hurt. an official with the church says
jose where a crash has killed a pedestrian. san jose police say it started with a collision between two trucks. the force of the impact knocked the truck over on its side on to a woman in a crosswalk. it happened on lincoln avenue around 9:45 this morning. when the delivery truck turned over on its side, there was a pedestrianing crossing in the crosswalk. the pedestrian was struck and was pronounced dead at the scene. both drivers are cooperating. this is the 17th pedestrian fatality in san jose this year and morales says that s six more than in the city had in all of last year. police say a minor fender- bender ended in a fatal shooting in oakland and now police an distraught family are looking for answers. it happened last night in the 5800 block of market street near stanford and north oakland. sue kwon has more on the victim killed an hour before his birthday. sue. reporter: this accident happened here at the intersection of market and san francisco. this is the
