Two Face Arson Charges After Santa Clarita Big Rig Fire Injures Suspect Two individuals are facing felony arson charges after they allegedly set a big rig on fire Thursday evening in Santa Clarita, sending one of them to the hospital. Around 11:45 p.m. Thursday, firefighters received reports of a vehicle fire on Soledad Canyon Road near the 14 Freeway in Canyon Country, said Leslie Lua, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The blaze fully engulfed a big rig before crews were able to extinguish the flames, according to Lua. Investigators determined that the truck had been intentionally set on fire.
